One could spend days Photographing New Orleans, the French Quarter and much of Louisiana, exploring the sights, sounds, watching and engaging the people of New Orleans, tasting much of the local flavor that New Orleans has to offer. There is so much to do and see hear. Let us be your guide! Not only your guide but your photo coach... A day workshop or a week! Our New Orleans Workshops are flexible that work around your stay in New Orleans and the French Quarter.
Workshops are dependent on what you want to see, how much time you want to spend experiencing the city, and what you want to learn. Vicki Stanwycks assists and teaches how to create images of the New Orleans Landscape, Architecture, color, people, the famous Grave Yards, and everything New Orleans...

You will see first hand the beauty of our wonderful, historic city. We have a consultation in advance so your guide/coach can figure out what would be best for you based on several factors - we make suggestions depending on what you want to do and logistics.
Some take these workshop's perhaps combined with the Bayou, the Night Courses, and other New Orleans Workshop's that are available, and make this their whole New Orleans travel vacation. They spend a few days with us shooting and covering the nuances of the French quarter and New Orleans. Other's want a few days learning and shooting.
Either way we make it fun and interesting just for you. We are locals that know the city really well; it's color, the crowds and when and where to go to get the most interesting images and information about the culture and what the city has to offer. We try to avoid the crowds as much as possible always keeping logistics and safety in mind...

Come check out the unique sights and sounds of the French Quarter with your guide... Discover the New Orleans Garden District and the beauty of the French Quarter. We show you where the locals go. We know the French Quarter and the Garden District really well. There are the beautiful streets of the French quarter with the amazing French Creole Nuances laced all through the French Quarter. See the colorful buildings and their extraordinary wrought iron balconies.
Each street in the French Quarter has it's own personality like Bourbon Street vs Royal Street, Burgundy vs Chartres Street. The history behind each street all it's own depending on who lived and worked in the different areas way back when. Of course there is Jackson Square, and the famous spot for Beignet's and the river areas, Frenchman Street and the Marigny. There is so much to cover...
We spend our time dedicated to creating Images of the New Orleans Garden District and the Colorful French Quarter. The beautiful Garden District with it's Historic architecture... New Orleans is known for it's historical homes especially in the Garden District areas.
The Architecture styles of New Orleans are rooted in the Garden District including the famous author, Ann Rice for, "Interview With a Vampire." The Historic homes that can be seen and photographed are a taste of history's beautiful and colorful as ever including the beautiful wrought iron balconies and fences that line the streets, The famed Cornstalk Fence, the huge Oak Trees, and Magnolias, that line the streets as an example... We will see one of the famous cemeteries as shot in the TV series CSI New Orleans.
Attendees should bring their camera and gear and what they may need throughout the day. We make several stops along the way for food and drink. We will have early class(s), discussions, and location shooting of the French Quarter and the different areas of the Garden District. Seeing the New Orleans French Quarter and the Historical Architecture of the Garden District, it's attractions make for a very interesting day and great images.
New Orleans itself is a great city to shoot in and also creates the most colorful backgrounds to shoot. Come see for yourself!
